Mir Moshiur Rahman, is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of CHOKH. He began his career in eye banking more than 13 years ago. He was the eye bank director of the country’s first eye bank, Sandhani International Eye Bank. Under his leadership, Sandhani got the recognition of a modern Eye Bank in the world and became a member of Tissue Bank International (TBI). Apart from his involvement in CHOKH, he is also the representative of Vision Share, USA in Bangladesh and an eye bank consultant of Chittagong Eye Infirmary and Training Complex (CEITC), Chittagong, Bangladesh. The other two eye banks of the country also benefits from his support. Besides eye banking, Moshiur, also maintains strong links with the organ donation movement in Bangladesh and is trying to establish a unique organ transplant center in Bangladesh.  He is an associate member of The Transplantation Society (TTS).

He holds a Masters degree in Management and Diploma in Human Resources Management. Moshiur and his wife, Shaila, live with their two sons in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  

Shehrin Shaila Mahmood is a Health economist currently involved in health systems research with specific focus on health financing for developing countries. She holds a PhD degree in health economics from the Australian National University. She started her research carrier at the ICDDR,B, an international research organization based in Bangladesh. She has over 15 years of professional experience in the field of health and development research particularly on health systems, health financing, equity issues, poverty mapping and community development oriented action research for the improvement of health. She is experienced in conducting quantitative research. Have familiarity with the development and public health challenges in the developing world and contemporary intervention programmes to tackle them. She has published peer reviewed journal articles, working papers, research briefs and scientific papers.
